Where we stand
Overall, we continue to believe our core philosophy, providing fast-paced practice reps, high-quality player development, and strong competition, is producing excellent results for our players as we enter year 2 of the program.
As evidence of that, our 12U Cooperstown team recently had a tremendous week at All-Star Village in Cooperstown, one of the premier 12U national tournaments in the country. The team won five consecutive pool-play games and finished among the top 20 teams out of 95 participating teams for the week before ultimately falling 5-4 to the tournament's No. 9 overall seed in a rain-shortened, time-limit game.
The offensive production was outstanding:
- 6 of the 12 rostered players hit home runs.
- The team posted a batting average over .400.
- The team recorded an impressive 1.300+ OPS.
- The pitching staff and defense performed exceptionally well throughout the week.
After spending the past year prioritizing player development, practice time, and skill-building over chasing tournament trophies and overloading schedules we believe the program, particularly at the older age groups, is now ready for an increased level of competition. As a result, we expect many of our age groups to participate in more tournaments play this fall.
