Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the program, the IAI, and how the platform works.

Getting Started

3

A youth baseball development program built around the Inferno Athletic Index — a data-driven evaluation system that tracks physical metrics, training activity, and athletic growth in real time. Athletes from 10U through 18U get a clear picture of where they stand today and a projection of exactly where consistent training takes them.

Your athlete receives a unique Player Access Code when they join the program. Head to the Clubhouse, find the Player Access Code panel, enter the code, and hit Link Player. Once linked you'll have full access to their IAI scores, projections, milestone history, and workout log.

Yes. Each athlete has their own access code. Link them one at a time and every linked player will appear across the IAI pages — workouts, analysis, milestones, and projections — with a switcher to move between them.

Inferno Athletic Index

5

The Inferno Athletic Index scores athletes across five composite categories — Offense, Defense, Speed, Athleticism, and It Factor — combining nine physical measurements with game evidence and coach evaluation. Scores are graded against age-appropriate expectations, so a 75 carries the same meaning whether your athlete is 12U or 17U. The Ratings & Overall guide breaks down all five in detail.

Offense (OFF), Defense (DEF), Speed (SPD), Athleticism (ATH), and It Factor (ITF). Each is scored 0–99 by the coaching staff, drawing on the nine physical measurements and on what an athlete does in games. The Overall is a single summary of the complete player on the same scale. If a category hasn't been tested yet it is left out rather than counted against the athlete — a profile with gaps is an incomplete evaluation, not a poor one. All six values are assigned and reviewed by a coach rather than recalculated automatically after every event.

Developing (below 75), Average (75–79), Above Average (80–84), Excellent (85–89), and Elite (90+). The bands are fixed points on the 0–99 scale and apply to every rating, not just the Overall — so a colour on a profile always means the same thing. Note that they narrow as you climb: Developing spans 75 points, Excellent spans 5.

Exit Velocity (raw hitting power), Pulldown Velocity (arm strength ceiling), 10-Yard Split (first-step burst), 5-10-5 Shuttle (lateral agility), Home to First (game speed), Broad Jump and Vertical Jump (explosive power), Push-Up Max (upper body endurance), and Plank Hold (core stability). Each links directly to on-field baseball performance at every level.

Scores update whenever new testing data is entered by the coaching staff. We recommend formal testing at the start and end of each training block, with workout activity tracked continuously between sessions.

Projections

4

Where consistent training is likely to take an athlete over the coming year, checkpointed at three, six, and twelve months. A projection is shaped both by where an athlete is starting from and by how consistently they train — treat it as a target to train toward, not as something that arrives on its own.

Baseline shows what consistent standard program participation produces on its own. Optimized shows what's achievable when an athlete layers in the right training equipment, proper nutrition, and recovery habits. The gap between the two tracks is the opportunity the right tools create.

No. They are model-based directional estimates built on the assumption of consistent training. Individual results vary based on genetics, effort, sleep, nutrition, and factors outside the program. Treat them as informed targets, not promises.

A curated set of training equipment, nutrition products, and recovery tools vetted by our coaching staff for youth athletes. Organized by what each item actually moves — hitting power, arm strength, speed, strength, or recovery. Every recommended nutrition product is NSF-certified or third-party tested.

Milestones & Badges

4

Achievement badges earned when a player hits a specific performance or participation threshold. 80 badges in all, across 6 categories — Hitting power, Arm strength, Linear speed, Agility, Explosive power, and Program membership — with 5 tiers in each.

Every physical category runs at 3 levels: Middle school, High school, and Career. These are difficulty bands, not age limits — a 12-year-old good enough to clear a high-school benchmark earns the high-school badge for it. Career badges are the hardest and never reset: earned at any age, kept for good.

Bronze sets the entry threshold. Silver is intermediate. Gold is advanced. Diamond is elite. Inferno is the rarest tier — performance that stands out at any age. Each tier requires a progressively higher benchmark or participation milestone.

Badges are awarded automatically from recorded results — there's nothing to claim. Every badge lists the exact number it requires, and the milestones page shows how close a player is to the next tier. Tests a player hasn't taken yet show as "Not tested" rather than as progress.

Roster & Profiles

3

Roster View shows players as a classic list grouped by age group. Collection View displays portrait photo cards in a grid — the same card style from the player profile pages. Toggle between them in the top right of the Roster page.

Name, position, grad class, bat/throw handedness, height, weight, school, and hometown. The profile photo expands into a lightbox with a fire animation. From the lightbox you can flip the card to reveal fun facts about the player.

Profiles require an authenticated account to view. You can copy a shareable link from any player profile page — anyone you share it with will need to log in to access it.

Training & Events

3

Workouts are logged through the program and immediately reflected in your player's IAI history. Each session is tagged to the Inferno Scores and metrics it targets. Streaks are tracked automatically based on consecutive active days.

The system identifies which of the five Inferno Scores is currently lowest for the selected player and surfaces workouts that target the contributing metrics — so training time goes where it has the most impact.

The Roster page has a Schedule section showing all upcoming tournaments, showcases, games, and tryouts sorted by date. Events today or tomorrow are highlighted. Toggle between upcoming and past using the filter in the top right of that section.
